So looks like I will be making more cottage cheese as much as I like around here. Here is how I did it... so simple.
1) Heat a litre of milk on the stove (until it is just about to boil. The TV said to 60 degrees but I have no idea how hot that is??)
2) Turn the stove off
3) Pour in 50cc (50ml) of cooking vinegar
4) Let sit for 15 minutes or so till it separates
5) Pour into cheese cloth or very fine strainer to pour out liquid
6) Add salt and pepper to your liking!
That is it! It was so simple, cheap and delicious! I think I will be making this regularly, cos I love cottage cheese especially on toast or in salads.

That looks really simple to make. I will have to give it a go sometime. A couple of recipes I have call for cottage cheese so now I have no excuse not to make them!
The standard temperature for hot milk in a capuccino is 63 degrees so i would say that when you can no longer touch the side of the pot because it's too hot, would be the right temperature.
Looks great! Nice to see you blogging more too :)
That is fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

Am surprised it is so easy to make! Can't buy it round here much so will have to give this a go. How long does it keep for?
